We had 48 people show up at Google Fiber with three weeks notice for a full day event.  Attendees included City and County leaders and staff, community leaders, developers, UT experts and interested citizens. What a terrific indication of the desire to create economic and environmental sustainability in East Austin.

Silicon Valley Simulation Center Video

The Silicon Valley Simulation Center is developing open source models that combine machine learning with collaborative intelligence to help decision makers and diverse groups of people solve complex ecological problems. We will gather these technologies within spaces that foster robust collaboration. Our goal is to design and build mission control centers for planet Earth.

Green Scene - Rebuilding San Diego Infrastructure with Mark Kersey

San Diego has a multi-billion dollar backlog of infrastructure projects: sewers, sidewalks, parks, potholes and fire and police stations. We may live in "America's Finest City" -- but much of it is beginning to crumble under our feet due to lack of attention and funding.

Green Scene-A day in the life of a Green Energy Trader

When you flip a switch you expect the lights to go on. . . . but at the other end of that power line are dedicated engineers who work day and night keeping the power on to our homes and businesses. It's a bit like the stock market - except these guys play a critical role 24/7/365.

Multiple factors affect the price we ultimately pay: time of day, weather, temperature, outages, fuel markets vs. renewables, weekends and holidays.
