SolarCity to supply Walmart with PV facilities across US

SolarCity has agreed to a deal with retailer Walmart that will see the clean energy provider install PV projects at stores across 36 states over the next four years.

Both groups have collaborated before, as SolarCity has completed over 200 solar projects at Walmart stores since 2010, while also installing and testing energy storage projects located in 13 Walmart locations since 2013.

Walmart served as one of SolarCity's first customers for energy storage systems, with the retail chain testing 13 battery storage projects across California since early 2013.

SolarCity has now created 5,000 permanent jobs in the US since it started on its first project with Walmart back in 2010.
